The beloved musical Guys and Dolls offers contemporary audiences a snapshot into the world of early 20th-century Broadway, filled with people trying to make their way and live their lives as they chose. Our discussion questions help young and adult audience members alike think about this world, what it meant to the characters in the play and what it means to audiences now. We hope you find these useful as your students read the play, see a live production or watch the 1950s movie musical. We’ve also have a lesson plan that takes a closer look at the music, and offers students an opportunity to make connections to their own lives and present day
