COVID-19 Safety
Guidance from the National Park Service states that social distancing and the use of face masks are required in outdoor crowded areas, including on the National Mall, regardless of vaccination status.
Outdoor Concert Rules:
- Bring your own blankets and chairs
- Bring plenty of water
- Please leave pets at home
- Concessions are not provided by Ford’s Theatre Society
- Public restrooms and handwashing stations are available on either side of the Reflecting Pool. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available.
Some items are prohibited on the National Mall:
- Firearms, ammunition and weapons of any kind
- Alcoholic beverages
- Aerosols
- Balloons
- Explosives
- Fireworks
- Folding tables
- Glass containers
- Laser pointers
- Mace/Pepper Spray
- Supports for signs
- Tents, tables and anything else that could block the view of other visitors
- Unmanned Aerial System (Drones, Remote Control Aircraft)
- Any other item determined to be a potential hazard

Accessibility
Come From Away: In Concert at the Lincoln Memorial is accessible to persons with disabilities, offering limited wheelchair accessible seating on a first-come basis. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided for the concert and is viewable to the public on the large screens on either side of the concert stage. Handicapped parking is located on the south side of the Lincoln Memorial.
Getting There
Public Transportation or rideshare is the best option for reaching the Lincoln Memorial. The nearest metro stations are Foggy Bottom (23rd St. and I St. NW) and Smithsonian (12th St. and Independence Ave. SW). Each metro option requires an additional 10-30 minutes of walking to the Memorial. For further information, visit wmata.com or call Metro at (202) 637-7000. Limited street parking is available along Ohio Drive, SW between the Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson Memorials. Bus parking is available primarily along Ohio Drive, SW near the Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson Memorials and along Ohio Drive SW in East Potomac Park.
