Bring your group of 10 or more to visit Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C., the site of President Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.

Visit Ford’s Theatre and step back in time. While at our historic site, you will learn about the events of April 14, 1865, and the lasting impact of Lincoln’s assassination on our nation. During our current phase of reopening the Theatre and Museum are open. The Petersen House and Aftermath Exhibits remain closed.

TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT

  • Every visitor needs a ticket.
  • We have timed-entry every half hour.
  • Our visitation schedule varies from week to week through September 2021; be sure to check our calendar when planning your visit. The museum and theatre are not included in every ticket.
  • A self-guided visit lasts ~1 hour.
  • Reserve in advance.
  • Group Reservation Fee is $2.50.
  • Group tickets for One Destiny are an additional $4.00/ticket.
  • An Acoustiguide is an additional $5/guide. This pre-recorded audio tour provides additional content and historical background. Youth and adult versions available.
  • If you are visiting the museum, try out our story cards. With the cards, you can follow the story of real people from 1865 and learn what life in Washington was like during the Civil War. The cards are free. Ask for them at the box office when you arrive.
