During The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Civil War Washington program, join up to 25 teachers to learn about Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass and the city of Washington during the Civil War!

When: Sunday, June 17 through Friday June 22, 2018
Cost: Free for local commuters
Application Deadline: April 2, 2018

What to expect:

  • Meals: Lunch is provided each day for all participants. Dinner is provided for the Sunday evening opening session. Participants are responsible for all other meals.
  • Daily transportation during the program: Participants are responsible for getting to each program location each day. Free parking is available at most sites.
  • Accessibility:The program is an active exploration of Washington D.C. that includes several miles of walking daily and requires use of historic steps. If you have questions or concerns about mobility and accessibility please email us education@fords.org

The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation Civil War Washington program Application must be completed by April 2, 2018. We require a Statement of Support from your supervisor (Assistant Principal, Principal, Department Head) that must be uploaded with this application. (PDF Preferred)
