Director Jennifer L. Nelson returns to the Ford’s Theatre for the first time since 2012 to direct this season’s production of Driving Miss Daisy. Jennifer sat down with us to talk about the unlikely relationship that evolves between an older Jewish woman and her African-American chauffeur in Alfred Uhry’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Watch our exclusive interview to find out what Jennifer had to say about the show’s main theme of friendship, the importance of trusting the help of others, and why she feels “this is a story Lincoln would particularly approve of.”
