Information and Performance Guidelines for Groups
Golden Rules
• Please be sure to turn off all devices such as cell phones, pagers, blackberrys and hands-free headsets during performances
• All excessive noise is disruptive to performers and other audience members. Please wait for intermissions or after final curtain to leave your seats.
• No food or beverage inside the theatre and museum at anytime.
• Because of copyright laws and actor’s safety, please refrain from using photography or recording devices during performances.
Promptness
All groups should plan to arrive at least 15- 30 minutes prior to show time. Late arrivals are not eligible for any refunds, credits or exchanges.
Payments
Groups are asked to submit a non-refundable one third deposit thirty (30) days after the acceptance of the contract. Groups of seventy-five (75) or more must submit final payment and group numbers thirty (30) days before performance date. Groups less than seventy-five (75) must submit final payment and group numbers THREE weeks before performance date. You may adjust ticket count anytime before final payment is due. Additional discounted seats are subject to availability. All performance dates and prices are subject to change. All groups will be charged a $2.00 restoration fee per ticket for all orders. Group reservations made less than 30 days before requested performance date are required to pay the reservation in FULL within SEVEN business days of receiving the contract.
If paying by check, groups should notify the group sales office by calling 202-638-2367. Check payments MUST be sent via priority mail to the following address: Group Sales, c/o Ford’s Theatre 514 Tenth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004.
Cancellations
Groups who cancel a reservation after deposit is submitted will be allowed to keep money on account for up to ONE year in order to use for a future performance. Groups that cancel once final payment is submitted forfeit ALL money for future use including the deposit. All sales are final and no refunds or exchanges. All groups requesting to cancel their visit must submit a signed statement to the Group Sales office.
Parking & Metro
Limited meter parking is available around the theatre. There are also some nearby parking lots. Be aware that many of the parking lots near the theatre close before the conclusion of evening performances. Nearest metro access to theatre is located at Metro Center and Gallery Place/Chinatown stations.
