Ford’s Theatre National Historic Site (Museum, Theatre, Petersen House) and the Center for Education and Leadership will be closed to the public on Friday, May 22, and Sunday, May 31. In addition, Tuesday, May 26 – Saturday, May 30, the museum and theatre will be closed to the public, while the Petersen House and Center for Education and Leadership will remain open.

FORD’S THEATRE ANNOUNCES 2013-2014 NATIONAL ORATORY FELLOWS

Washington, D.C. – Ford’s Theatre Society announced that 14 teachers from Arizona, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska and Pennsylvania have been selected as National Oratory Fellows for the 2013-2014 school year.

Washington, D.C.—The Ford’s Theatre Society announced that the company of the 2013 production of A Christmas Carol is partnering with Covenant House Washington to create a donation drive inspired by the themes of charity in Dickens’s holiday classic. During the curtain calls for performances of A Christmas Carol, the company will collect monetary donations on behalf of the Washington-based non-profit Covenant House Washington. Patrons also can make donations through the Ford’s Theatre Box Office.
